Gorrick MBC Spring Series race 5 DERA
Sunday June the 10th saw the Gorrick guys and gals back at
the oh so steep DERA Test Track at Bagshot for the final race in
the foot and mouth ravished spring series.
The course this time was totally different and much tougher than
last time which consisted of five miles of sweet singletrack, drop
offs, wide fast open sections and some very steep climbs which saw
even the best riders out of the saddle pushing their bike upwards.
The final section was a real sting in the tail, it was very peaty
and twisty and had lots of riders moaning (lightweights).
There were lots of BOB's racing as usual but we again had some
bad luck on the day. Louise Fenwick lost a contact lens so had to
pull out, Martin Foad snapped his chain and ended up running the
last couple of miles and Steve Kettlewell snapped his seat post
during his practice lap so was unable to race.
Anthony Lindsey won the fun race again, it looks like its time
for him to move upto the Novices category. You can see all the results
below.

So that's it for another season, the Gorricks will be back again
in October by which time we should be as fit as butchers dogs due
to all of the riding we will be doing over the summer.
I would like to thank the following people who have supported the
club by racing this season in the local area Gorrick series:
